The battle for leadership in the telephony sector is intense and there is now a new player who is standing up to big. The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi recently won the crown the third largest mobile phone maker in the world, with a market share of 6%. Apple will take advantage with 12% and Samsung is detached from the pack with 25% of the whole pie. In Xiaomi they have climbed positions to offer an excellent combination of performance, design and price. It is quite an achievement considering that its current flagship, the Xiaomi Mi4, can only be achieved through Internet. The success is such that when they went on sale for the first time sold out in just 40 seconds. The Chinese market is one of the largest in the world and also the most difficult for brands like Apple or Samsung are leaders. The Xiaomi Mi4 was introduced last July and the company already is working on its successor, the Xiaomi Mi5.

 The latest rumors about the device point to a possible presentation next January. Xiaomi could exploit the next edition of the CES to introduce its next flagship. The event will take place in Las Vegas between 6 and 9 January, so it could be just a month to know all the news of Xiaomi Mi5. Last November a user of Weibo (the Chinese version of Twitter) leaked could be the first picture of the device. What is most striking is that the side edges around the screen are virtually nonexistent, a trend that has been popularized with the advent of the big screens. Manufacturers try to adjust the maximum frame to the team size is not too large.

 Sun Changxu analyst predicts that the device will have a panel of 5.7 inches diagonally, a size that pretty close to the category oftablet phone, hence wanting to adjust the frame around the panel.
