Pipo X7S is the name of the new mini-PC just unveiled by the famous computer company and already available for pre-sale online at a price of just € 120. What are its specifications? And that is pre-installed OS?
Let’s start talking about their operating system: option was chosen dual-boot, or the ability to launch two different systems: The user, when turned on, can choose between Android 4.4 Kit Kat and Windows 8.1 with Bing.
The latter has a full license, complete with a one year subscription to the productivity suite Office 365. There are no limitations regarding the installation of applications, both traditional desktop that the Modern UI (formerly Metro).
The Pipo X7S design is quite convincing: the size of the body are very small, so that we can use this device in the living room that is on the desk, without giving too much attention.
Excellent also the absence of cooling fans, for a quiet operation. As for the performance in general, with daily tasks, there should be no problem, of course, have no pretensions too big.
Under the chassis we can indeed find 2 GB of RAM, the quad-core Intel Atom Z3736F (Bay Trail) and 32 GB of flash memory, expandable at will use the slot for microSD cards.
The four USB 2.0 ports provide good connectivity with external devices, and there are the headphone jack, an HDMI video output, Ethernet 10/100 and modules for wireless Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n.
