The Oppo N1 was the first smartphone to integrate natively CyanogenMod. It was launched in 2013 with version 10.2 of the famous ROM. Almost a year and a half later, it accesses the release CyanogenMod 11S.

Oppo was the first manufacturer to officially support Cyanogen by integrating its ROM in a smartphone. It was the very end of 2013 and the smartphone in question was the N1, offered with CyanogenMod 10.2 or ColorOS both based on Android Jelly Bean. Since the ROM of the manufacturer has been updated to KitKat but not the other. Obviously, it is even possible today to pass Lollipop by flashing CM12 but official support is always preferable. Cyanogen and Oppo and have finally decided to offer.

Better late than never. KitKat so happens now officially on the N1 via CyanogenMod 11S. The firmware is available from the developer’s support page and brings several new features, including support for the O-Touch trackpad on the back and O-click remote. The Oppo system applications are added to give an air of ColorOS the Cyanogen ROM, a sign that the partnership has perhaps not been so well lived by the manufacturer.

Besides, if Oppo N1 was the first smartphone Oppo proposed with the famous ROM is also the last to time. This should not be a surprise. This may also be the reason behind the late arrival of CyanogenMod 11S. Now remains whether the next version, stamped 12S, will also be offered in the future. For now, it is at least expected the One of OnePlus and YU Yureka of Micromax.
