The manufacturer Micromax has unveiled the Canvas 5, a new smartphone with solid technical specifications, for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, the latter should in all likelihood remain reserved for the Indian market.
Micromax is the first mobile phone manufacturer in India. It usually leaves some smartphones, but they have an entry level position that allows them to sell extremely well in the local market.
Micromax also knows a bit out of the best equipped units from time to time, and it comes to prove with his new Canvas 5, as reports the site BGR. This is not a high-end smartphone itself, but it still has a very solid data sheet.
Indeed, this Micromax Canvas 5 displays an IPS 2.5D screen of 5.2 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), a resolution of 424 dots per inch, protected by technology Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device animated by a SoC octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 clocked at 1.3 GHz combined with a Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM LPDDR3. 16 GB of internal memory provide data storage, expandable by MicroSD slot that will accommodate a memory card of up to 64GB.
Note also that this is a smartphone offering 4G connectivity and a SIM dual port. It incorporates a 13-megapixel sensor back to back and a 5-megapixel webcam, accompanied by both an LED flash. Everything fits into a frame of 148 x 73.6 x 8.5 mm, and is powered by a battery of 2900 mAh for autonomy up to 10 hours talk time and 275 hours standby.
Available in two colors (gray and brown), the Micromax Canvas 5 is marketed to 11,999 rupees, or just under 170 euros. This is therefore a very good deal, especially for us other European consumers. Please note that availability should be reserved for the Indian market. So if you are interested in this smartphone, you will need to go through an import shop.
