Lenovo has launched a new smartphone in China. Main distinctive sign, it contains a battery of 4000 mAh giving it greater autonomy to 40 days standby.
If autonomy is lacking in the majority of smartphones, some do still better than others. And the miracle cure is not software, such as trying to believe some manufacturers with their Stamina or Ultra power saving modes to name a few. And no. If you want to escape the scourge, no choice but to opt for a smartphone with a high capacity battery . They are few in the market but now have an additional reference: Lenovo P70 .
More than 40 days of autonomy
Discovered a first time in December, P70 has finally been made official in China to feature, a battery of 4000 mAh. Add to that a rather modest configuration including including HD 5 “display and a quad-core Cortex-A53 chipset 1.5GHz and you get a range of up to up to 46 days standby.
In detail, the data sheet also includes 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a 13 megapixel camera and a 5 megapixel webcam. All under Android 4.4.4 KitKat. This information was reported by our colleagues CNMO who obviously could spend some time with the P70, due to the Chinese market for the equivalent of 200 €.
An octa-core variant with more than 30 days of autonomy
Note, however, that a variant a little better armed (octa-core MT6752 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory) is also presented on the official website of Lenovo. Autonomy then drops to 34 days standby time or 18 hours of talk time, which is still more than acceptable for a smartphone. The price is not specified but it may be easier to import this variant seems aimed more at the international market.
