Huawei Watch for women will be presented at CES 2016

At the moment, when the market of smartwatches is on the stage of initial development, concepts such as “women’s smartwatches” or “men’s smartwatches” do not exist. All wearable devices can be attributed to the category of “unisex”. However, soon the situation in this area may change.

The first generation of Huawei Watch has a big dial and the thickness of 11 mm. Of course, such smartwatch is inconvenient for the girl’s thin hands, so the company Huawei decided to release a female version of watch.

According to reports, Huawei plans to introduce a female version of its smartwatches Huawei Watch in early January at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. What will be the device?

The changes will affect only design of the watch, which will be the more “feminine”, while characteristics of smartwatch Huawei Watch for Women will not differ from the current model of device. As we know, the technical characteristics of Huawei Watch are as follows:

  • Screen: 1.4 inch, AMOLED matrix resolution of 400×400 pixels;
  • CPU: 4-core Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400;
  • Graphics: Adreno 305;
  • RAM: 512 MB;
  • Built-in memory: 4GB;
  • Wireless modules: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 4.1 LE;
  • Sensors: accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope pulse sensor;
  • Battery: Li-Ion 300;
  • Dimensions: 42 x 42 x 11.3 mm;
  • Battery life: up to 48 hours.

Most likely, the female version of Huawei Watch will have dust and water resistant, that can withstand immersion in water to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Also, there are reports that the Chinese company is already working on the second generation of Huawei Watch. We expect to see smartwatch on the market not before the second half of 2016.

It’s all available information, but probably Huawei Watch 2 will support networks of mobile operators that give its owners the opportunity to make calls and send / receive text messages, without the help of a smartphone.
