Acer XB270HU and XG270HU: 144 Hz in TN and FreeSync

Acer joins the list of AMD FreeSync monitor manufacturers. Which was since its introduction at CES a trivial player to screen is actually one of the first models on the market to support the standard alternative to Nvidia G-Sync .

 So in addition to being “the first set of monitor screen edge to edge frameless” Acer XG270HU is compatible AMD FreeSync. This technology allows for recall to synchronize the refresh of the screen with the rate of computer images to enhance the feeling of fluidity. It has been standardized VESA under the name Adaptive-Sync, but in practice only AMD plans to operate at this stage.

 This XG270HU is also a 27-inch monitor based on a TN panel displays a definition of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a 1 ms response time. Emphasize the blue LED backlight anti dominant and anti-reflective of the slab. The screen finally has HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2 and DVI Dual Link, a pair of speakers 2 x 2W, but it lacks USB hub.

 Acer also announced last month at CES XB270HU, billed as the first Nvidia G-Sync IPS panel monitor. Apart from the response time, this screen sharing all of its data sheet with the above model, including the refresh rate of 144 Hz, rare with this type of slab.

 Both gaming monitors should be on sale in March for undisclosed price.
