Asus unveiled three configurations for its new ZenBook UX305. The Taiwanese firm has also opportunity to announce the availability of its laptop on the European market, which was presented at IFA.
While the first two models, “UX305FA-FC002H” and “UX305FA-FC004H” running Windows 8.1, the “UX305FA-FB003P” runs the Pro version. The three references include the Intel Core M5Y10 processor and graphics card Intel HD Graphics 5300. We find, also, 4GB of DDR3 memory clocked at 1600 MHz for the first declension proposed and 8GB of DDR3 memory clocked at 1600 MHz for the other two.
The Zenbook UX305 has a 13.3-inch screen (16/9), but the difference is in the definition: Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) for the first two and qHD + (3200 x 1800 pixels) for the latter. A distinction is, moreover, a 128 GB SSD integrated into both devices and another SSD, 256GB for the top model.
The rest of the specifications is pretty standard (3 USB 3.0 ports, HD webcam, weight 1.2 kg, etc.). The design is, in turn, typical of laptops and convertible tablet PCs from Asus (brushed aluminum back, sporting a “ASUS” logo, rectangular touchpad, etc.). Two colors are available: black (“Obsidian”) and white (“Ceramic”). The manufacturer boasts, on the other hand, the fineness of its three new products: only 12.3 millimeters thick.
The ZenBook UX305 is the winner of two awards “Good Design Award 2014″ and “iF Design Award 2015″. Finally, the first model will be sold at 599 euros, the second at 749 euros and 999 euros last.
