ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 Mini tested AnTuTu

Last week, ZTE presented the latest two representatives of its range Nubia Z9, the Z9 Max and Z9 Mini. If the first features a Snapdragon 810, the second has a Snapdragon 615. A difference that is noticeable on test benches.

Just eight months after it launched the Z8 series of its range Nubia, ZTE has renewed with two new models, the Z9 Max and Z9 Mini. Officially presented last week (find all the details here for the great and there for the smallest), the two smartphones offer almost similar design (besides the size of the screen), but a radically different data sheet. In fact, the performance of both mobile is also very different, what we expected.

Chinese Site Mobile Dad aired this weekend a photograph of the two smartphones displaying their results on AnTuTu. Nubia Z9 Max totaled a score of 56,892 points. A score close enough for our own records of Snapdragon 810, the HTC One M9 which the test was published yesterday in our columns (reaching for his part 55142 points).

Nubia Z9 Mini reaches 28,501 points. A few points, Snapdragon 615 achieved the same score as noted by us on the HTC Desire 820 during our test published at the end of January. Note that the Nubia Z9 has a Full HD screen while the Desire 820 720p slab. Yet the difference is not noticeable.

Compared to other models with relatively similar configuration, the two scores offered by both Nubia Z9 are consistent. Nothing unusual that the Snapdragon 810 is twice better than the Snapdragon 615, confirming our impressions when power M9 test. Photo Mobile-Dad is however good enough to compare the scores on all tested points, the RAM, the GPU or the CPU.

No real surprise either, we can observe that the SD810 outperforms SD615 on all points, except on rare occasions, such as the management of the 2D display, management of floating point and speed of access to data stored in the memory. These are the areas that are not directly related to the CPU. However, the power of the CPU, GPU in 3D and especially the speed of RAM (LPDDR4 for Max and MPDDR3 for the Mini), the difference is even more striking. The amount of RAM plays, but less than the flow rate. So we see any involvement of a good GPU and a good memory in such scores.

Recall that Nubia Z9 is expected on Chinese stalls from the beginning of April. The smaller this week to 1,500 yuan. The biggest next week to 2500 yuan.
