The Chinese manufacturer Ramos has announced on its territory Mos1, a smartphone, which despite its low price, be innovative will, at least in its design. Based on over 600 individual tests, Ramos developed edges of 6.6 mm thickness and a 158 degree angle, or completely flat or completely rounded. The design of this special hull is in turn assured by CNC machine tools with a margin of error of 0.01 millimeter and using an aluminum alloy consisting of 0.4 or 0.5% silicon and 0.7 to 0.9% magnesium. Perfectionist, the firm also surveyed users about buttons, and deduced that the ideal size of these (compared to the shell) is 0.3 mm, a dimension adopted for Mos1.
Regarding technical specifications, the Ramos Mos1 is equipped with a full HD 5.5 inch 2.5D protected by a Gorilla Glass coating, a processor Snapdragon 615 (octa-core 64-bit), 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel photo camera, a front camera of 5 megapixels and a battery of 3050 mAh. Everything will run on Android Lollipop, featuring a software overlay called home MOUI 1.0. A Mos1 Max variant is also provided with a 6-inch screen and a battery of 6000 mAh, but no other details about him has been communicated yet.
The Ramos Mos1 is available on the Chinese online sales site Jingdong Mall on August 10 at a price of 1999 yuan, the equivalent of 291 euros at current conversion rates. A pre-order period will commence in turn from 31 July. The manufacturer is not yet ready to launch internationally, which is understandable given its designs sometimes on the verge of legality, output in Europe is not relevant and interested parties must necessarily through import.
