MSI continues its focus on laptops designed for gaming, trend increasingly active because, apparently, gamers do not like being tied to their home environment. In many, more and more, they tend to bring their machines to play, even in the various Internet points located here and there (perhaps with bands higher than domestic ones).
In an event dedicated to the company shows the new MSI GE62, gaming laptop to be placed in the low-end design that presents quite classic – classic manner of speaking, is the usual “lug” stylish MSI – specific and interesting. Let’s see it.
At 2.70 kg and 42 x 28 x 2.90 cm, MSI GE62 has a form factor based on the standard 15.6 “regarding the display. This has a Full HD resolution traditional (here you play, the QHD we do not need), but it also supports a wide range of viewing angles. Let’s talk about chipset.
Here we find, in the nucleus, that beautiful piece of Intel Core i7-4720HQ clocked fixed at 2.6 GHz in Turbo Boost reaches the 3.6 GHz. To it are associated with 8 GB of RAM and a video card DDR3L new Nvidia GeForce GTX965M 2GB GDDR5 memory. The latter should offer good performance, slender and not particularly seem to worry the general system – the MSI GPU also have more extreme, and from what we understand easily target the mid-range.
Although the specifications are not addressed to the most demanding gamers, the rest of the budget of the laptop is no different from other members of the class: the SteelSeries keyboard is backlit and customizable colors, there are 4 speakers 2 W each, a DVD player and 1 TB HDD 7200 RPM.
To the side of connectivity ports are LAN Killer E2200, WLAN Intel 3160 Dual Band Wireless-AC, Bluetooth, SD card reader, two USB ports 3 and as many 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and microphone and a HDMI 1.4 port. Short of a DisplayPort to have the kit inputs and complete connectivity.
How much does the MSI GE62? Cool as usual, quite a € 1399 for the American soil.
