Lenovo has launched a new mid-range smartphone in India. Called S60, it presents itself as a more economical version of the S90 while maintaining its strong resemblance to the iPhone 6 of Apple.
The latest iPhone seem to have inspired many manufacturers. Lenovo is one of them. Less than a month after their arrival in the trade, he formalized the S90. Metal chassis. Rectangular format. Rounded edges. Even the thickness is the same: 6.9 mm. Hard not to compare but this did not seem to bother the manufacturer since it is back today by completing the range with the S60, presented on the official site.
As the name suggests, this new model is positioned below the first and this is also seen as outside. If it also resembles the iPhone 6 with its rounded unibody chassis, the metal has been replaced by glossy plastic and the thickness reaches 7.7 mm here. On the side of the data sheet, the difference is however not so great. The S60 even comes with double RAM but it is the only area in which it is better.
It is otherwise as well or less well equipped. It retains the 5-inch 720p HD screen, the Snapragon 410 chipset clocked at 1.2 GHz and the main camera of 13 megapixels. The storage capacity is halved for revenge to 8GB while the camera moves from a resolution of 8 to 5 megapixels. The set also runs Android 4.4 KitKat dressed Vibe UI 2.0. Shame not find KitKat.
The Lenovo S60 has been launched in India, where it is proposed for the equivalent of 180 €. A price more than acceptable given the technological proposal. Unfortunately, the chances of seeing him reach us later are minimal if not non-existent because the Chinese prefer to rely on Motorola to consolidate its presence in Europe.
