In recent months Elephone seems to want to make a name in the vast Chinese market smartphones. The very next P8000, with its amazing specs, seems to be one of the arguments that the company will soon forward to prove it.
We talk regularly Elephone in our columns from the beginning of the year. The Chinese brand, based in the metropolis of Shenzhen technophiles currently multiplies the new economic products. After the P6000, P5000 and flaghsip the P7000 no less than four models will arrive in the coming weeks: the P4000, S2 and S2 Plus and the P8000. Each course has a small feature.
The P4000 is the first of them. It is one of the smartphones with the most affordable large battery. It will offer indeed a 4420 mAh power for a $ 130 price. For the rest, he joined the MT6735, entry MediaTek chipset, a 5-inch 720p screen, a Samsung 13 megapixel sensor on the back, Android 5.1 and a beautiful colorful shell iPod manner.
The next two, S2 and S2 Plus (see the video above) are an obvious answer to the whole wave of mobile with back glass screen and slightly curved edge “2.5D”. Touch screen 720p 5 and 5.5 inches, MediaTek MT6735 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Android 4.4.4 (with planned migration to Android 5.1), 13 megapixel camera sensor, 2 megapixel webcam and battery 2150 mAh form their technical specifications. Note that the smaller of the two has a contour entirely of metal. No price indicated, but that pre-orders will start in a few days.
The latter is certainly the most interesting. The P8000 is more ambitious than the previous model, not only in its proposal, but also its price positioning. Whereas around 200 euros, the P8000 should propose a full HD 5.5 inch led by the MediaTek MT6753. This is the equivalent of Snapdragon 615 in the Taiwanese foundry, an octo-core Cortex-A53 1.5GHz. It incorporates a multi-mode LTE modem compatible with international frequency bands.
Add to that 3 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel camera sensor (certainly the Samsung ISOCELL seen above), a 5 megapixel camera, 4200 mAh battery and a fingerprint reader on the back and you get a very surprising motive for this price range. Of course, lead a Full HD screen with a MT6753 will certainly ambitious enough. This should have an impact on the battery, but it is relatively consistent, autonomy should remain good. Launching later this summer.
