Asus presents ZenFlash and LolliFlash

The photo has become one of the most popular features of our smartphones and many manufacturers are trying to improve it. Asus is one. It will propose soon even a range of dedicated accessories.

After hybrid and convertible devices, Asus has apparently decided to specialize in another area: the photo. And, as always, it does not do things by halves. You may remember the ZenFone Zoom announced in Las Vegas, as its name suggests, a digital camera with 3x optical zoom. The manufacturer keeps going and just enjoys the launch of ZenFone Taiwan to present a range of dedicated accessories.

The external flash, a bright idea?

It consists of ZenFlash and LolliFlash. You’ll understand that this is to facilitate additional flash in low light shot with a smartphone. The ZenFlash is based on xenon technology and takes the form of a small square box to attach to the back of the smartphone. Power is supplied via the microUSB port.

The second is less powerful since it relies on two LEDs but put on a more fun approach to the picture with its shape and colorful lollipop caches that can be a filter. They are three: red, yellow and blue. It can also act as flashlight, unlike ZenFlash, it can operate continuously.

Our colleagues of the portal Engadget were present to take pictures. Neither price nor release date have not been disclosed, however it seems. It will have to wait, hoping that these new accessories will also be offered in Europe.
