Designed with evidence for multi-monitor configurations, the new Acer H257HU is characterized by slender frames, as well as a resolution supported quite high. The price is relatively low
Acer has today announced the launch of a new monitor design with “zero-frame”. H257HU is a product designed for gaming and multimedia entertainment, with obvious connotations suited to a possible multi-monitor configuration. Even the price is not too restrictive, with the panel that is already available in the United States with an MSRP of $ 369.99.
The heart of the device is a 25-inch IPS LCD panel can cover, according to figures released by the company, 100% of the sRGB color gamut. Colors can also be calibrated using a control system with 6 axes, while Acer also reports a maximum brightness of 350cd / m² and a contrast ratio of 1000: 1, the optimal values if confirmed. According to the specifications, the response time of the panel is 4ms.
Acer has also implemented some technologies to make more comfortable using the monitor for long periods of time, such as an anti-flicker, a technology “low dimming” to reduce the brightness and prevent eye strain, and ComfyView, a system to limit the reflections from light sources close to where the monitor is placed.
On an aesthetic level, H257HU is characterized by a small bar that acts as a brushed aluminum frame and bottom panel that contains keys to manage the various settings offered. Acer H257HU can be connected to the PC via HDMI 2.0, DVI, DisplayPort 2.1 and Mini DisplayPort, integrates two speakers with support for DTS Sound and True Harmony of Acer, and can be tilted slightly from -5 to 15 °.
At the time of writing, Acer has not released information about the debut of the new monitor in other markets than the US.
