Xiaomi may submit its next smartphone Mi5 top of the range with a Snapdragon 820 next November, with a release later this year.
A member of the Chinese site Weibo today released new details of Xiaomi and his next high-end smartphone, the MI5. According to the source, the device will be presented next November.
Xiaomi MI5 could be presented next November, and will be equipped with the latest generation SoC Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820, combined with a 5.5-inch display with QHD resolution, 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4, a 16 or 20 megapixel camera, a sensor for fingerprints, output USB type C and a thickness of only 5.1 millimeters. Remember however that this is not yet formalized voices, so the data sheet and the date of submission may undergo a change in the future.
The choice of Xiaomi to opt for the Snapdragon 820 will allow the Chinese company to use the latest technologies to Qualcomm on sensors for fingerprints, which will not need more than a capacitive sensor or a physical key (we talked about in this article) . The month of November was decided based on the programs of Qualcomm. The Chinese company had indeed thought of a summer release of its next flagship, but decided to wait for the famous manufacturer of SoC ended the new generation of processors, to offer the best available in the market.
Xiaomi MI5 will release later this year, while maintaining the busy summer. Will in fact be released at that time the Mi4s, a revised version of the flagship last year, with SoC Snapdragon 810 and a 13-megapixel camera with OIS. This device should be presented next July 15.
