The time has finally come: the first Ubuntu-phone will land officially on the European market. And it will not be long, with a terminal-end entry-level, produced by Spain Bq.
As reported Omgubuntu, the first terminal with operating system Ubuntu Os will formally on the European market since the second week of February 2015. To produce it will be the start-up Spanish Bq, which had already expressed great interest in a long time for the new system operating.
The terminal will be presented entry-level, technical specifications certainly not at the top. However, remains to be seen how the new Os will be able to optimize the device, which will be characterized by:
Specification Ubuntu smartphone
- 4.5 inch display
- quad-core MediaTek 1.3 Ghz (probably MT6582)
- Mali 400 GPU
- 1GB of RAM
- 8GB of internal memory
- Battery 2150 mAh
- support dual-SIM
Canonical has not yet specified the price at which the terminal will arrive on the European market. Most likely, however, given the prices charged by competitors Android, Ubuntu Terminal 1 will arrive on the European market at less than 149 €
