Bluboo, Chinese society active – in the past – in the smartphone sector, tries this time to surprise the world with the first smartwatch Chinese Android Wear, its sporty Bluboo XWatch. It will be a Christmas best buy?
Bluboo is a Chinese company maybe unknown in the Western market technology but who has decades of experience in making smartphones for mobile operators OEM of various nations.
Last month, it was just September 17, 2015 Bluboo emerged from anonymity OEMs announcing a first product with his own band, the smartphone Bluboo fire that stood out to offer a good technological equipment (quad core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB HDD, 2,750 mAh battery and dual camera, 8 megapixel rear and front 5 megapixel). All this, along with 4G connectivity, being marketed at just 80 euro!
Given the success that the previous device has obtained, BluBoo tries again with another technological device that belongs, however, to a different category. Let’s talk, this time, the Bluboo XWatch, the first Chinese smartwatch implemented by Android Wear, adaptation of Android to wearable devices (it is not clear, however, whether it is a stock version of Android Wear or an adapted version).
The Bluboo XWatch has a metal ring, a bracelet in different colors and a circular display full size without black bars or spaces for LEDs. Among its technical characteristics, at least among the few that are currently leaked, we can distinguish between elements that denote the vocation “sports”.
Bluboo XWatch, in fact, altimeter, barometer and GPS to accurately identify its position beyond the path, even trekking, that you were taken. And this, of course, the pedometer, the pulse sensor on the back and a monitoring mechanism of sleep in order to assess the quality.
Do not miss, then, also mirrors the notifications of text messages, and phone calls received through the pairing, we presume in Bluetooth, with your smartphone.
Overall, it is a good device, not as elegant as an Apple Watch (but, on the other hand, the segment of reference is different!), But definitely for those who love the movement and adventure: in this sense, his most next rival would be a smart watch from similar forms, the Moto 360 Sport Edition 2015 (always Chinese, Motorola is Lenovo) which, however, will certainly have a greater cost.
Here, the price: do not know it but do not be surprised if it was in line with the many gadgets cheap and good quality that often come from China and around…
