ZTE Zmax 2 - phablet with 5.5-inch HD display, 4G LTE Support for AT&T

As in 2014, ZTE has, with an operator, a low-cost phablet exclusive to the US market. This time, it’s not with T-Mobile, but with AT&T the business associates for almost identical to the previous proposal.

On 25 September, at the weekend, will be released in the US on the stalls of the US operator AT&T the ZMAX 2, produced by ZTE. If this tells you anything, it’s normal, it is the replacement of ZMAX first phablet to have been a partnership between the Chinese manufacturer and an American operator, but back then it n ‘ was not the same. Moreover, it is almost a year to the day after the ZMAX 2 takes over a detail that looks very symbolic because, at first glance, the difference also some small adjustments and a change of operator, the recipe seems identical.

Let us return to ZMAX 2. So this is, like its predecessor, a phablet whose size, however, was revised down (while the global trend is upwards). The ZMAX 2 offers a 5.5-inch 720p panel, a resolution of 267 pixels per inch.

This slab is powered by Android 5.1, the other big difference between the two products. The operating system is here dressed in a light overcoat; less pronounced “Chinese ROM” that MiFavor (we usually find in Nubia or Blade). It looks more like the interface of the recent range Axon.

Inside the mobile, we find a quad-core Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.2GHz and supports LTE (probably a Snapdragon 410). The chipset is accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (expandable), a 3000 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel photo sensor and a 2 megapixel webcam. ZTE did not mention the size of the mobile or even weight. But it is not there its main selling point.

Indeed, his main argument is the price, especially vis-à-vis the proposal. The set will be sold at AT&T, before subsidies and offline engagement (but with the possibility of subscribing to one of prepaid plans of the operator) for 150 dollars or 135 euros.
