Today more and more models of smartphones equipped inside a 64-bit processor and Huawei could not miss the chance of making a SoC with these features to complete its range of processors.
Yesterday was the first time I knew something was dealing with Huawei and went through a teaser in which 2 nuts and the number 64 is displayed beside them, which already indicated that we would use this architecture.
In the teaser today, a SoC is shown within an hourglass, which by itself does not confirm us anything, but thanks to a leak and have the potential characteristics and name of this new processor with the seal of Huawei. Rumor will be an 8-core processor Cortex-A53 that operate at 1.2 GHz and will be baptized with the name of HISILICON Kirin 620.
This processor will go to the midrange Android and initially will be a worthy competitor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 or even Qualcomm Snapdragon 615.
For now, it is true we do not know much about this new processor, but tomorrow Huawei has prepared an event that has to do with the Honor range of the company, and is likely to give us new details or even submit this new eight-core SoC.
