Asus is preparing a new series of tablets under the name ZenPad. These should run on Intel processor from the first documents circulating on the web. Their presentation is imminent to the extent that they would be formalized at the Computex 2015 held in early June. This is what is known about these new tablets.

 Two tablets and four variants in total, this is what will happen with Asus ZenPad 7 and 8. It starts with the 7-inch version that should be placed on the entry level with a very low price, between 139 and 159 euros.

 For this price you will find an Intel Atom x3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 or 16 GB of storage and a microSD slot for memory expansion. Two cameras, WiFi, Bluetooth and an IPS screen of 1024 x 600 pixels complements the data sheet. So no HD, but a very low price for a tablet. The version to 159 euros will benefit from 3G.

 We go to the next level in size and power with version 8 inches that it will a screen with a much higher resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels (QXGA). We also find 2GB of RAM and a processor Intel Atom Z3560 or Z3530 Moorefield, the latter being 1.83GHz. For storage capacities, 8/16/32 and 64 GB will be proposed.

 No pricing yet for Asus ZenPad 8. In terms of design, the tablets should be similar despite their very remote data sheets. Asus still offers solid products and we look forward to the performance of Intel processors generally have excellent performance / consumption ratio.
