In the New York Acer has officially announced the new line-up for back to school in 2015, with new models that start at a list price of 249 €
After HP, Acer also announced their notebooks for back to school: among these are the new Aspire V15 with metal profile, the new Aspire E and the new family of products extremely cheap Aspire ES. These devices are very different from each other, but united by tradition Acer from a list price affordable in relation to the technical features integrated. It starts from € 249 for the entry-level of the newly formed family Aspire ES, to get to € 699 according to the new Aspire V15.
The new Acer Aspire V15 also uses for the new generation a display of 15.6 “at Full HD resolution (1920×1080), but it changes the entire hardware platform under the shell. The processors are now Intel Core fifth generation, while on the front graphic we find a NVIDIA GeForce series 940M2. The handset can be configured with up to 16GB of onboard memory and 2TB regarding storage space. Expected among the options also SSHD 1TB drive hybrid that will improve the performance of the storage system.
Aspire V15 is equipped with a superior finish aluminum printed with proprietary technology “advanced nano-imprint”, while the chrome hinges create “an elegant contrast” in the wake of the products of the series Aspire V Nitro. The keyboard consists of keys to the island with backlit “excursion increased”, while there is also a DVD-RW drive with support M-Disc and a sound system certified Dolby Digital Plus.
Let us now turn to the new products of the family Aspire E, available in 14, 15.6 and 17.3 inches. They are characterized by a pattern of tissue along the upper part of the body achieved by combining techniques of 3D printing finished with laser engraving. Under the shell differences with V15 are not many, at least on paper: we find Intel processors and discrete GPU NVIDIA GeForce 940M series, up to 16GB of RAM depending on the model and storage space 2TB HDD and 1TB on a more SSHD performance.
It still comes down to market segment with the new Aspire series ES, proposed in five declinations with different sizes, from 11.6 to 17.3 “. The technical specifications are contained in this case than the other devices announced, with Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space. We still find the DVD-RW disc that, with the reduction of the volume of the bodies and the rampant rise of the market for digital software is becoming an increasingly rare feature on notebook.
All the new notebooks have support networks to Gigabit Ethernet cable, while only in models Aspire and we also find the compatibility with standard Wi-Fi 802.11ac technology Qualcomm MU-MIMO. Among the additional features include proprietary Acer TrueHarmony to improve the audio performance of the integrated sound system, Acer BluelightShield to improve the readability of the screen without straining your eyes and Precision Touchpad, which also allows multi-touch gestures for better control of the Windows 8.
Availability and prices: Acer Aspire V15 will arrive in the European market in July at a target price of 699 €, while the series Aspire E and Aspire ES will be launched respectively in May and June, respectively, at 349 and 249 € for the entry-level models.
